Invitation to Indian Community Centre
To all members and friends of the Northern Ireland Inter-Faith Forum:
As part of our "Exploring Our Faiths Together" series of meetings over the current year the Forum has been invited to the Indian Community Centre and the Hindu Temple on Sunday 23rd February at 2pm.
We are invited to join the Hindu community for the hawan ceremony and prayers followed by a tour of the Centre and a talk on Hinduism. The visit to the Indian Community Centre will finish with dinner in the Centre at 4:30pm.
The Indian Community Centre is located at 86 Clifton Street, Belfast, in the large former church building on the left hand side as you go out of town, close to Carlisle Circus. The hawan ceremony will commence at 2pm.
At the Annual General Meeting held today, 7th November, the following members were elected to serve on the Executive Committee for the coming year:

Interfaith Pilgrimage of Prayer for Peace
INTERFAITH PILGRIMAGE OF PRAYER FOR PEACE
INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY, SATURDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 2013, 3.30-4.30pm
Peace Day will be marked by many activities including an Interfaith Pilgrimage Of Prayer For Peace. This will be a walk or around one mile, starting from Carlisle Circus at 3.30pm and finish at Belfast City Hall at 4.30pm.
The walkers will be required to observe silence during the walk. No banners or placards will be carried. There will be no speeches.
The walk is an opportunity to pause, reflect, pray and consider how best to work together to move on from cultures of violence and build cultures of hospitality and safety for all. Walkers will be invited to pray for peace and a world free of weapons and warfare.
